HVAC preventive maintenance in Santa Clara and the Bay Area — EVS Mechanical offers annual and bi-annual maintenance plans for furnaces, AC units, heat pumps, and mini splits. Priority scheduling, discounted repairs, extended equipment life. Family-run, no contracts. Call (408) 300-8254 for plan details.
HVAC preventive maintenance is a scheduled inspection and tune-up of your heating and cooling system — typically once per year (spring for AC, fall for heating) or twice per year if you have a combined system. A trained technician inspects, cleans, adjusts, and tests your system to catch small problems before they become expensive repairs.
Who this is for: Homeowners in Santa Clara, San Jose, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Los Gatos, Santa Cruz, Cupertino, Campbell, Saratoga, Los Altos, and Milpitas. Residential and light commercial.
Not a checklist walk-through. We measure temperature split, refrigerant pressures, gas pressure, amperage draw, temperature rise, static pressure, and combustion analysis.
Maintenance members get priority during peak seasons (heat waves, cold snaps). When everyone else is waiting, you're first.
Members receive discounted labor on any repairs needed between maintenance visits.
Call (408) 300-8254. We call back within 2 hours.
Month-to-month or annual. Leave anytime.
Euler Vargas oversees the maintenance program. No call centers. No sales pressure to upsell services you don't need.

We arrive on schedule. Full inspection of your system — not a quick walk-through. We measure, test, and document everything.
You get a written report of findings. If we find something that needs attention, we explain it clearly — what it is, whether it's urgent, and what the fix will cost. No pressure. No upselling.

“I called EVS for a regular furnace service and they were here very quickly. They performed the service in one day and also discovered the very old condensate pump was not working properly causing water to pool around the furnace. They replaced the pump the next day. Would definitely use their services again.”

“Euler and Axel have fixed 2 of my fridges and have done preventative maintenance on two others, and my freezer. Highly recommend them for any restaurants that want to work with a family owned company instead of one of the large companies that lack in customer service and a personal touch.”

“From start to finish, Euler at EVS Mechanical delivered exactly what he promised. He came to evaluate the same day I called. After coming out and doing a thorough analysis of the job, he scheduled it for the next morning, showed up on time with his crew, and completed the work in a few hours. The crew was tidy and friendly. The job involved moving a mini split unit to a new location on the wall to make room to install a Tonal. The job went exactly as described. No hiccups. … From the first call to the finished job, the whole process was faster than expected. This was the fastest and smoothest home improvement project I've done. I cannot recommend them enough.”

Before you decide
A scheduled inspection and tune-up of your heating and cooling system — typically once or twice per year.
Once per year is the minimum for most systems. Twice per year (spring and fall) is recommended if you have a combined heating and cooling system, or if your system is 8+ years old.
Full inspection of all components: filter check, electrical connections, refrigerant pressures, gas pressure (for furnaces), coil cleaning, drain line check, safety systems, and performance testing. You get a written report.
No. EVS maintenance plans are month-to-month or annual. No long-term commitment. You can leave anytime.
Yes. A well-maintained HVAC system typically lasts 15-20 years. A neglected system often fails at 10-12 years. Regular maintenance is the single best way to protect your investment.
Usually yes. A system with dirty coils, clogged filters, or improper combustion can waste 15-30% of the energy it uses. Maintenance restores rated efficiency.
Yes. We provide maintenance for any brand of furnace, AC, heat pump, or mini split, regardless of who installed it.
Yes. You can book a one-time tune-up without a plan. Plan members get priority scheduling and discounted repairs.
No — and we won't pretend the two are the same thing. A real tune-up is an hour or more of a technician's time, plus gas, cleaning supplies, and a combustion and safety check; the $49–59 versions are priced below what the visit actually takes to perform. That's not a discount, it's a business model: those companies send a salesperson to your home, and the "tune-up" becomes the appointment where you're shown a five-figure replacement quote. EVS doesn't send salespeople — we send technicians who do the tune-up, hand you the condition report, and quote only the work your system actually needs. If a replacement makes sense, we'll show you the math — but because the numbers do, not because the visit has to pay for itself.
Schedule spring maintenance (cooling) between April and June, before the summer heat. Schedule fall maintenance (heating) between September and November, before the winter cold. Members get priority in peak months.
Yes. We provide maintenance for light commercial HVAC systems as well. Call (408) 300-8254 for commercial plan details.
Santa Clara, San Jose, Cupertino, and Campbell have distinct cooling and heating seasons. Spring maintenance (before May) and fall maintenance (before November) are the standard schedule.
Homes in Los Gatos hills, Santa Cruz, and Saratoga foothills experience longer heating seasons. These homes often benefit from the Premium bi-annual plan since both heating and cooling cycles are significant.
A well-maintained system runs more efficiently, which directly lowers your PG&E bills. Dirty coils, clogged filters, and improper combustion can increase energy consumption by 15-30%.
Bay Area has a large stock of older homes with older HVAC systems. Maintenance is especially important for systems 10+ years old — catching problems early can delay replacement by years.
